VINTAGE Blue GE 12" VORTALEX FAN FM12V43 RUNS OSCILLATES

Description

This is a 1950s Blue General Electric 12” fan.  It is a VORTALEX model FM12V43.
This fan runs great having three speeds. It also oscillates.
Things you need to know:
The Cage is not rusted and the steel looks very good. It needs a minor weld on the back top. The Blue paint is in nice condition but will need the dried oil cleaned from the housing. Has minor marks on base but overall looks very nice. The three speed switch is missing the original and a make shift switch was made most likely by my dad. The wires running up to the motor has been wrapped in a black tape long ago probably cause the original was frayed.
The oscillation works nicely. The electric cord should be replaced. The plug is cracked and I placed new electrical tape over it. The oscillation housing has grease inside and all the gears look in good condition. The original bolt/screw that you tighten to keep the fan in the position you want was broke off. It should have a wing nut on the one end to tighten. I have placed a make shift bolt but include the original that I took out so you can match it.
