Description
Vintage 1940s GE Oscillating Fan FM10S41 Works Brown Bakelite Metal Blades 10".- A brown tabletop or desk fan with a Bakelite base that is molded with the brand GENERAL ELECTRIC. The metal blades are tan or pale gold colored.
- Underneath the back of the motor, the oscillation bar moves in a circular motion. Turn off oscillation by lifting the oscillation bar off its front post.
- In picture 8 the oscillation bar is on its post. In picture 4 it is off, and positioned on the wrong side.
- Don't know if the cord is original, but it looks old.
- The motor is supported by a curved steel bar that is secured to the base with a bolt through a slot. Underneath is a wing nut that would loosen the bolt so that you could slide the steel bar to tilt the fan up or down.
- CAT. FM10S41, SPEC. 272955-1, U.S. PAT. 1957237, 1965668
- This is a vintage item that has not been refurbished. It does not look brand new. There are little scuff marks on the motor case, the base and the blades that betray its age.
