We video the testing of all electronic locks before posting them for sale.  The lock will fit a right or left handed entry but you may need to switch it over for your door handling.  The instructions tell you how to make this switch.  You will find this information in the section that tells you how to program your entry code/s.  The lock isn't broken and switching it over is a pretty simple process.  Not all "professionals" are aware of this step so please pass the information along to them too.  We try to provide instructions for all locks but if for some reason you are missing instructions they can be found on the HD website or Kwikset website.
