Restored 16” GE BMY Antique Desk Fan White General Electric Big Motor Yoke.

For your consideration is a beautifully restored c.1913 16” Big Motor Yoke desk fan manufactured by General Electric. This large fan moves quite a lot of air, and is a beautiful statement piece to any room. The fan is constructed out of cast iron and brass, and is very heavy!
The fan has been professionally powder coated in Antique White, and was given a glossy clear coat to give it a porcelain appearance. The stator and speed coil was removed, cleaned and sprayed with insulating varnish to help protect the 100+ year old motor windings. The fan has been rewired with cloth covered, period replica wire. The brass and paint has been polished to give the fan a great luster.
The piece measures 17.5” x 20” and sports a large 16” blade set. The sound is smooth on all 3 speeds, with an impressive spin down time. The fan was tested, running for an hour at each speed. *SHIPPING. The fan will be shipped in two boxes. The first, with just the blade and the cage. And the second, with the fan body. This should insure that the fan will arrive undamaged. Please understand this means there will be some reassembly once delivered.
*CONDITION. Being as this piece is over 100 years old, wear is consistent with its age and should be expected. Expect scratches dings, dents, casting marks and slight imperfections.
*Disclaimer: This fan was created before the existence of OSHA standards, and such may not be considered compliant up to current code. Therefore, this item is sold as decor. The fan should not be plugged into power unsupervised, and local codes and regulations should be checked before installation
