The traditional "pipe-clay" white leathers crossbelts were worn with the uniform
These were two and one eight inches (54mm) wide
One belt was the bayonet belt (or carriage), which carried an oval brass plate engraved with the words " GR "
the bayonet crossbelt was worn over the top of the cartridge box belt
It appears that there were no buckles on these belts except at the cartridge box, where the straps were attached to the bottom of the cartridge box
