Menominee Antique Ball Motor Electric Desk Fan Single Speed AS-IS

Vintage Menominee ball motor desk fan.
Photos should be best description. Fan cage is broke in 1 spot, pic 4.
Wires are cut but long enough to splice.
I hooked up to power, got some movement but very rough with some sparking inside.
Looks all original. top of ball motor is about 8 1/2" and cage is about 8 1/2" diameter.
Looks like cast iron with brass nameplate.
As is with no returns.
