Kentucky Belt axe. Small belt axes like this were carried by eastern longhunters and were very popular from the french&Indian war up through the early 19th century. Hand forged head flat hammer poll and oblong eye.head is 4 1/2" long and with a 2" blade makes it a handy camp tool as well as a formidable weapon. Furnished with a 14" hickory handle.
