This auction is for one LARGE format 24 x 36 page of fully dimensioned drawings of the legendary Colt 1851 Navy percussion revolver. Designed by Samuel Colt between 1847 and 1850, this was one of the more successful early cap and ball percussion revolvers. It saw extensive use in the Civil War and was in production until 1873. Many legends of the Old West favored the Colt 1851 Navy, including Wild Bill Hickok and Doc Holliday. The drawings cover every part in the gun, including the grip frame, barrel, hammer, cylinder, and small parts, etc. Only a small portion of the drawings are shown in the picture with this listing. The drawings are so detailed and fascinating that you could study these for hours. You might even consider framing them as a unique wall decoration. These are professionally reproduced on a large format engineering printer to be clear and readable throughout. The prints are shipped rolled in a protective cardboard tube to ensure they arrive in perfect condition.
