Antique Brass/Bronze Gun Flint Lock Pistol Replica Vintage Reproduction Prop ??
Got this from an estate sale and I don’t know the history or exactly what it is or where it’s from.
Does have a set up that could technically fire if the trigger mechanism fixed. Lever moves back some spring tension, but doesn’t lock back. It looks like it worked at one time. There is a hole in the barrel, where the powder would ignite. Barrel is hollow all the way down to the bottom . I don’t see any maker marks on the barrel. All the gold tone inlay appears to be hammered into the wood.
Gun is 19 inches from end of the barrel to the tip of the ax
Everything done on this is definitely handmade. Has a very old crude like craftsmanship, but the detailing is pretty cool. Especially on the axhead it has a gorgeous inlay of detail.
Underneath trigger guard also has lots of detail
Such an interesting conversation piece
